Los Premios del cine y la televisión británica EE British Academy Film Awards 2021 se han entregado este fin de semana, en una ceremonia mixta presencial conducido por Edith Bowman y Dermot O’Leary directamente desde el teatro Royal Albert Hall de la ciudad Londinense. Los BAFTA celebraron lo mejor de la industria del cine 2020 presentando los 25 premios por el cantante Liam Payne, quien abrió la velada, luego Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Richard Grant, Pedro Pascal, Tom Hiddleston, Cynthia Erivo, James Mcavoy Chiwestel Ejiofor, David Oyelwo y Phoebe Dynevor fueron presentando a los nominados así como los ganadores de la noche.
Dentro de la lista de los ganadores ‘Nomadland’ de la directora Chloé Zhao lideró el palmarés de los premios de la Academia Británica con cuatro galardones, ‘El padre’ consiguió tres victorias incluyendo Mejor Actor y Mejor Guión Adaptado, ‘Una joven prometedora’, ‘La madre del blues’, ‘Soul’ y ‘Sound of Metal’ logran dos premios, la ceremonia no contó con la clásica Alfombra Roja producto de la pandemia, sin embargo la ceremonia fue televisada por la BBC y para el mundo via el canal de academia británica BAFTA, vía youtube.
