El actor galés Luke Evans, confirmo en sus redes sociales el lanzamiento de su nuevo disco «At last«, junto a su primer tema «Love Is A Battlefield» presento a través de su canal de Youtube su primer single, una canción llena de pasión y pegadiza que te arrebatara el corazón. El guapísimo actor comenzó su mundo del espectáculo cantando en las producciones Musicales en el West End en Londres Rent, Miss Saigón y Piaf, Su talento le llevo a la gran pantalla y fue conocido por roles como Furia de titanes (2010), interpretando al Dios Apolo. Después de su debut, Evans fue lanzado en películas de acción y de suspenso como Immortals (2011), The Raven(2012), y The Three Musketeers (2011), en la que interpretó a Aramis. En 2013, Evans interpretó al antagonista principal Owen Shaw en la exitosa película de Fast & Furious 6, e interpretó a Bardo I el Arquero, en la trilogía de la adaptación de Peter Jackson de J. R. R. Tolkien El hobbit, dio vida al vampiro Drácula en el filme Dracula Untold (2014). Sus últimos trabajos fueron darle vida al villano Gastón de La bella y la bestia (2017) y su reaparición en The Fate of the Furious. conquistando la pantalla cinematográfica.
El antagonista de cintas como Fast & Furious 6 y Beauty and the Beast, no pudo ocultar su emoción y, a través de sus redes confirmó que será el 22 de noviembre cuando su álbum debut salga a la venta.
“At last, mi debut está finalmente terminado. La primera canción ‘Love is a battlefield’ saldrá este viernes (11 octubre), aquí un pequeño avance… y si preordenas el álbum desde mi tienda oficial, te lo enviaré junto a una foto firmada”.
Si bien, se trata de su primera placa, la música y el canto siempre han acompañado a Evans, quien se graduó del London Studio Centre en el 2000, y comenzó su carrera en producciones de los teatros del West End de Londres, como Rent y Piaf.
At last está conformado por 12 temas: First time ever I saw your face, de Roberta Flack; If I could turn back time, de Cher; With or without you, de U2; y Always remember us this way, de Lady Gaga. Así como Changing, Bring him home, I’m kissing you, Show me heaven, At last, Say you love me, Faith’s song y Bring him home.
At Last’ brings together an eclectic collection of modern and classic songs, personally curated by Evans to highlight and complement his unique delivery and vocal style.
The bold and imaginative selection of songs that have been reimagined by Evans include a huge, orchestral rendition of the Pat Benatar rock classic, ‘Love Is A Battlefield’, which turns the track into something otherworldly along side other modern classics such as U2’s ‘With Or Without You’, Maria McKee’s 90’s power ballad ‘Show Me Heaven’ and Cher’s ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’, along with the Etta James’ Jazz standard ‘At Last’ and ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ by Roberta Flack. Recorded in 2019 at the world famous Sarm Studios in London, Luke worked with producer Steve Anderson (Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Take That), The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and in-demand string arranger/composer Cliff Masterson (Kylie, Michael McDonald, Emeli Sandé), who’s stunning work has been used across the world of film and music for decades.
Evans has always had incredibly strong vocal ability beginning his illustrious career on the stage, performing in many of London’s West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf before making his film breakthrough in the Clash of the Titans 2010 remake. Evans has continued to take the film world by storm appearing in huge Hollywood blockbusters such as The Fast and The Furious, The Girl On The Train, The Hobbit, 3 Musketeers and many more. In 2017 the entire world got to witness Luke’s vocal capabilities in Disney’s highly successful, live-action adaptation of the animated classic Beauty and the Beast. Luke starred as lothario and villain ‘Gaston’ alongside Emma Watson’s ‘Belle’.
