What a beautiful afternoon I had spent me and my friend Ulrika searching for the City of London the magical jars of the movie BFG the giant, Ulrika and I we met this afternoon in Leicester Square already with our cameras in hand, comfy trainers and the BFG map where is showing all the Jars locations around the city, we stared our hunting ready to discover the magical dreams, we had a great time together I also noticed some people were also approaching to the jars wondering what will be, Why were so especial?, each one of the Jars is different and very special with a unique message providing a beautiful inspiration to follow your dreams, they were all located in the most amazing emblematic and strategic points of the city of London, I invite you to enjoy this beautiful activity with your family or friends it will be a journey full of joy discovering great dreams indeed it is a beautiful and positive afternoon that I totally recommend.
Que hermosa tarde he pasado yo y mi amiga Ulrika buscando por la ciudad de Londres los mágicos jarrones de la película Mi amigo el gigante, Ulrika y yo nos reunimos por la tarde en Leicester Square listas las dos con nuestras cámaras en mano, zapatillas para una buena caminata y con el mapa que indicaba donde encontrar los jarrones recorrimos el centro de la ciudad para descubrir el sueño mágico de los jarrones, nos la pasamos muy bien y me gusto mucho ver que había otra gente que también se acercaba a los jarrones, cada uno de ellos es diferente y muy especial con un mensaje único e inspirador están puestos en puntos estratégicos muy emblemáticos de la ciudad os invito a esta bellísima actividad familiar o bien con amigos que se les llenará el corazón de alegría , sueños y sobretodo una hermosa tarde positiva.
About The BFG Dream Jar Trail
This summer, the streets of London are transformed with magical giant Dream Jars to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday and The BFG movie release. These Dream Jars can only belong to The BFG (Big Friendly Giant). Maybe he mislaid them during his night-time wanderings delivering wonderful dreams to sleeping children – or “chiddlers” as The BFG would say! Follow The BFG Dream Jar Trail and explore this world of dreams for yourself.
Este verano, en las calles de Londinenses se han transformado con el mágico sueño de los jarrones para celebrar los 100 años de Roald Dahl y a su vez el lanzamiento de la película Mi amigo el gigante. What is The BFG Dream Jar Trail?

The BFG Dream Jar Trail brings to life the long-held dreams of celebrities and artists with Dream Jars across London and beyond this summer. Each jar contains “splendiferous” sculptures based on dream stories from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Stephen Hawking, the Delevingne sisters and many more. You can discover The BFG Dream Jars in iconic spots such as Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Squareand Buckingham Palace.
Esta fue una gran idea de crear estos mágicos jarrones basándose en la historia de la película Mi amigo el gigante. Cada frasco contiene esculturas de una gran imaginación con extraordinarios elementos basado en historias de sueños de la talla de Steven Spielberg, Stephen Hawking, las hermanas Delevingne y muchos más.
The jars will be sold to raise money for Save the Children and Roald Dahl’s Marvellours Children’s Charity – so you may even be able to collect a BFG Dream Jar of your own and help little “chiddlers” too!

How Were The BFG Dream Jars Made?
The BFG Dream Jars were made by arts and design specialists 3D Eye, who create everything from one-off sculptures and red carpet premieres to city-wide sculptural attractions and fashion shows throughout the world. Working with images directly from The BFG film, the Dream Jars were first modelled in 3D and miniature versions were created before the giant full-size jars were put together by an amazing team of sculptors, artists and model makers. From the hands of these artisans and crafts people the sculptures have been created from an amazing array of materials and methods, so each jar is different and every sculpture within “splendiferously” unique. And, of course, “every dream is having its special label”.
¿Cómo se hicieron los jarrones de mi amigo el gigante?
Los jarrones de los sueños fueron hechos a mano utilizando toda las técnicas de artes plásticas y materializándolas a escala por especialistas en el diseño 3D, también se crearon toda una gama de esculturas únicas con temas que van desde estrenos de alfombra roja a las atracciones muy conocidas en toda la ciudad al igual que desfiles de moda por todo el mundo. Cuando se trabajo con los jarrones primero se utilizaron las imágenes directamente de la película luego los Jarrones de Sueños fueron modelados por primera vez en 3D en versiones en miniatura y después fueron creados para los frascos en tamaño gigantes el cual podemos ver ahora, todo esto fue creado por un equipo de escultores, artistas y modelistas profesionales.
Who is Roald Dahl?
Roald Dahl is the world’s number one storyteller. His books, which also include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Fantastic Mr. Fox, are currently available in 58 languages and have sold more than 200 million copies worldwide. The BFG Dream Jar Trail is run in conjunction with Rold Dahl 100, which is celebrating 100 years since the author’s birth with a series of events and activities throughout the UK during 2016. Four of the jars on the trail will be sold in aid of Roal Dahl’s Marvellous Childre’sCharity to continue the charity’s work providing specialist nurses and family support for seriously ill children in the UK.
Author Sophie Dahl, granddaughter of Roald Dahl, upon whom the main character of Sophie is said to be based, said: «I am thrilled to be part of such a creative adventure in support of the incredible work of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. My grandfather was a great champion of dreams and imagination and I feel he would have been delighted to see his work supporting children in this way.”
